Celebration for Glad to Care Week at The White House Care Home

Glad to Care Week 2025 was a joyful celebration at The White House Care Home in Letchworth Garden City, bringing together residents, staff, and families for a week full of relaxation, gratitude, and fun.
As part of this nationwide initiative to recognise and celebrate the incredible work of care professionals, our home put on a host of feel-good activities designed to uplift everyone involved. We kicked things off with a wellness day, where both residents and team members were invited to enjoy a bit of pampering and self-care.

Everyone had the chance to relax with massages, refreshing facials, face masks, and nail file and paint treatments - turning the home into a mini spa for the day! The atmosphere was calm, uplifting, and full of laughter, as both staff and residents embraced the opportunity to take a moment for themselves.
Later that day, we headed out into the courtyard for a mouth-watering BBQ, where residents, family members, and staff sat down together to enjoy great food and even better company. The sunshine, sizzling favourites, and shared conversations made it a perfect summer gathering.

To top off an already fantastic day, we welcomed back one of our favourite entertainers, Eirlys, who had everyone singing along to some classic favourites. Her energy and familiar tunes brought smiles all round and created the kind of magical atmosphere we love at The White House.
Glad to Care Week is all about connection, appreciation, and community, and we’re proud to have celebrated it in such a meaningful way with those who make our home so special. If you'd like to take a quick tour of our home for yourself, please get in touch with our friendly care team today!
