We are dedicated to ensuring our residents live happy and fulfilled lives and take great pleasure in providing a wide range of activities and entertainment, including arts and crafts classes that are organised by our Activities Coordinator.
Being creative also has a wealth of emotional and physical benefits for our residents and so our Activities Programme is inclusive and includes a wide variety of accessible activities that are suitable for all of our residents.
Not only do Arts & Crafts sessions bring joy and happiness to those who partake, it also comes with mental, well-being and physical benefits. We find that those who participate in regular Arts & Crafts groups are more socially connected. This social activity provides opportunities for residents to interact and get to know others that they may not have had the opportunity to previously. Studies also suggest that partaking in a creative activity improves hand-eye coordination, memory as well as motor abilities; regular attendance to these sessions brings residents an abundance of benefits and we love nothing more than watching residents thrive in a safe and comfortable environment.
We strive to encourage creativity whenever (and wherever) we can. Whether that’s taking part in the Arts & Craft sessions in the communal spaces at White House, or finding inspiration from our very own garden. We love creating outdoor-themed art and creative pieces that have been made using all natural; natural materials can be used to produce artwork, pressed flowers, celebratory wreaths and even bird feeders.

All sessions are accessible and we encourage all residents to partake, regardless of ability; our wonderful team are on hand to assist residents with any task they wish to carry out.
