Exploring Hertfordshire
Our care home is situated in the beautiful market town of Letchworth Garden City in Hertfordshire, meaning that there are lots for those living in care homes to see and do. Residents living in care homes in Hertfordshire are able to get out and about in many of the local parks, gardens, and historical sites we have nearby such as Hatfield House Gardens and Hertford Castle. We can support residents on trips into the local community with the use of our very own transportation.
Many individuals within our home have lived most of their lives in Hertfordshire, so we think it is important to encourage them to go out and about in the local area, especially those living with Dementia. Exploring Hertfordshire with our dementia care residents can really help with their mental wellbeing due to the stimulating effects that being in familiar surroundings have.
At White House Care Home, we want to offer our residents the opportunity to continue to do things that they love to do. Our activities coordinators work closely with our residents to make sure that if they want to go out and about to do something that they loved doing before moving into care, we have the resources to do this for them.
